The former founder and CEO of UT Bank, Prince Kofi Amoabeng,  recently shared his life philosophy and approach to maintaining youthfulness during an interview on Joy News’ PM Express Business Edition on January 16, 2025.

Approaching his 73rd birthday, Amoabeng emphasized the importance of making a meaningful impact in life, stating, “I think I have a very simple philosophy: you come into this world, and you must make an impact.”

Central to his philosophy is prioritizing health. He highlighted the necessity of good health as a foundation for making an impact, explaining, “The first thing you need to acquire is good health. If you’re not healthy, I mean, you can’t cause the impact.”

Amoabeng maintains his well-being through essential habits, stating, “Good health means sleeping well, eating well, exercising well, dieting well, and a whole lot of things. I keep that as my mantra, and I do what is right.”

Reflecting on his age, he expressed gratitude and determination: “I’ll be 73 next month. I’m grateful to God for putting me in this world, and I want to live my life and live it fully. I don’t want anything to overtake me. Of course, anything can happen, but you don’t give it a chance.”

Amoabeng’s enthusiasm for life extends beyond personal fulfillment. He shared his proactive approach to daily challenges with humor, saying, “When I wake up in the morning, I’m sure the devil says, ‘Oh God, tell me this guy is up again,’ and I want to do what is right.”

Despite his achievements, he believes his journey continues, stating, “There’s a lot I have to do or want to do.” He acknowledges the role of divine guidance, adding, “It’s in the hands of the Almighty, but at least I must be fit and ready to be used. Because if you are not well and you are in bed, God can’t use you. So, keep faith, then God can give you a chance.”

He emphasised the importance of taking care of one’s body through simple but essential habits.

“Good health means sleeping well, eating well, exercising well, dieting well, and a whole lot of things. I keep that as my mantra, and I do what is right,” he said, underscoring his commitment to maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

Reflecting on his age, Kofi Amoabeng shared a mix of gratitude and determination. “I’ll be 73 next month,” he noted with a smile.

“I’m grateful to God for putting me in this world, and I want to live my life and live it fully. I don’t want anything to overtake me. Of course, anything can happen, but you don’t give it a chance.”

Prince Kofi Amoabeng’s zest for life extends beyond personal fulfilment. He shared a vision of waking up each day ready to face challenges head-on.

“When I wake up in the morning, I’m sure the devil says, ‘Oh God, tell me this guy is up again,’ and I want to do what is right,” he joked, displaying his characteristic humour and resilience.

Despite his accomplishments, Kofi Amoabeng believes his journey is far from over.

“There’s a lot I have to do or want to do,” he admitted.

However, he remains humble and acknowledges the role of divine guidance.

“It’s in the hands of the Almighty, but at least I must be fit and ready to be used. Because if you are not well and you are in bed, God can’t use you. So, keep faith, then God can give you a chance.”
