Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi has hailed Asante Kotoko as Ghana’s biggest football club, citing its unparalleled influence and passionate following.
In an interview, the former CAF 1st Vice President highlighted the club’s unique ability to draw massive crowds wherever they play.
He noted that the presence of the Porcupine Warriors not only energizes match venues but also significantly impacts local economies.
“When Wa All Stars existed, whenever Asante Kotoko came to town, a lot of people came to the stadium,” Nyantakyi told Asempa FM’s Sports Nite.
“Vendors made a lot of money, and it energized the whole town,” he added.
Asante Kotoko has built a lasting legacy as one of Ghana’s most decorated football clubs, boasting numerous domestic league titles and prestigious continental achievements.
