A 26-year-old man has allegedly murdered an 18-year-old young lady at Diaso in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region.
The suspect, who is currently on the run, and the deceased are both believed to be illegal miners.
Akosua Nyarkoh of Adom News’ affiliate, Rich 1 FM, reported that the tragic incident occurred on Thursday, 9th January 2025.
The teenage girl was discovered lying face down in her room, with blood stains on the floor.
According to local reports, the suspect and the deceased were not in any romantic relationship. Shocked residents have expressed their inability to understand what could have motivated the suspect to commit such a crime.
The Diaso Police have visited the scene and deposited the body at the Diaso Health Centre for autopsy as investigations continue.
