Young Apostles distance themselves from Anim Addo’s social media post

-

Young Apostles FC has officially distanced itself from a social media post by Samuel Anim Addo, in which he criticized Referee Maxwell Hanson and the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Anim Addo, a former Executive Council member of the GFA, accused the football governing body of using Referee Hanson to execute what he described as their “dirty work.”

His comments have since resulted in the GFA filing disciplinary charges against him.

In a statement addressing the matter, Young Apostles FC clarified their position:
“Young Apostles FC wishes to clarify that a recent statement made by Mr. Samuel Anim Addo, a club official and member, on social media regarding the Ghana Football Association (GFA) does not reflect the views or opinions of our club. We strongly disassociate ourselves from these comments and any sentiments expressed therein.”

Anim Addo also alleged that the GFA had threatened to ensure Young Apostles’ relegation in response to his concerns about officiating in the league.

However, the club firmly denied any conflict with the GFA, emphasizing the positive nature of their relationship.
