2024 CHANQ: We are focused on preparing for the return leg against Nigeria – Black Galaxies coach

-

Black Galaxies head coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has emphasized his team’s focus on preparations for the return leg of their 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against Nigeria.

This comes after a 0-0 draw in the first leg, which took place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 22.

The second leg is scheduled for Saturday, December 28, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

The winner of the tie will secure a spot in next year’s CHAN, set to be hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

In his post-match comments, Dramani expressed confidence in his team’s preparation for the return leg.

“When we don’t qualify, there is still positive,” he said.

“What is positive about this is that these boys have been exposed to a certain level of our Ghanaian league and this is the page that we want to print out that we are expressing our domestic competition structure to the rest of Africa and the world.”

The former Black Stars assistant coach added, “We are not even thinking about it, we are just thinking about how to prepare and get to Nigeria and get to the pitch and play.”

Ghana is determined to qualify for the tournament for the second consecutive time, aiming to outpace Nigeria once again.
