The Black Galaxies of Ghana played to a goalless draw against Nigeria’s Super Eagles B in the first leg of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.
The match, featuring home-based players from both nations, was held at the Accra Sports Stadium as the teams vie for a spot in next year’s tournament, set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
The first half saw both sides struggle to create clear-cut opportunities despite promising attacking efforts.
With the scores level at halftime, the pressure intensified in the second half, but neither team could break the deadlock.
Led by head coach, Didi Dramani, Ghana’s Black Galaxies will aim for a stronger showing in the decisive second leg.
The return fixture is scheduled for Saturday, December 28, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Nigeria.
Both teams remain determined to secure qualification for the prestigious tournament.
