2024 CHANQ: We have developed a team philosophy ahead of Nigeria game – Didi Dramani

-

Black Galaxies head coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has revealed that the team has developed a strong philosophy ahead of their crucial match against Nigeria in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) playoffs.

The highly anticipated first leg of the encounter will take place on Sunday, December 22, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with kick-off set for 15:00 GMT.

The return leg will follow on Saturday, December 28, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Nigeria.

Ahead of the match, Dramani discussed the team’s preparation and the philosophy they have instilled.

“First of all, a team is not just built overnight. You have to craft it carefully,” he told CAFOnline.

“We have worked on creating a strategic structure with a clear team culture that emphasizes professional communication among the technical staff, players, management, and the football association.

“We’ve developed a team philosophy aligned across all levels, focusing on defensive and attacking phases, and progressively introducing these aspects in training sessions.

“This strategic framework ensures our players and staff are well-oriented before the game,” he added.

The 2024 CHAN tournament will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Two years ago, Ghana triumphed over Nigeria in a penalty shootout to secure their spot in the last CHAN edition, though they were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
