Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare has assured the fans of the club to stay hopeful for their chances of winning the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, despite a recent setback.
The Phobians suffered a 1-0 defeat to their arch-rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday in the Matchday 13 fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium, marking their third consecutive loss to the Porcupine Warriors.
Speaking from the Black Galaxies camp, Asare acknowledged the disappointment of the loss but reassured fans that the team is focused on coming back stronger.
“The supporters shouldn’t give up. In the second round, things will improve for Hearts of Oak. We will also win the return leg against Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium,” Asare said.
The defeat left Hearts of Oak in 7th place with 19 points.
Next, they will face Berekum Chelsea on Friday, December 20, 2024, in Matchday 14, as they aim to revive their title challenge.
