NDC executives commiserate with Haruna Iddrisu over mother’s demise

Leading figures of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have extended their condolences to Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu following the passing of his mother, Hajia Mariama Amidu.

Among the dignitaries who visited the family to express their sympathies were Alhaji Alhassan Suhuyini, MP for Tamale North, and former NDC National Chairman, Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo.

They were joined by Alhaj Professor Hamza Adam and Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, MP for Tamale Central.

Several party executives and leaders who could not attend in person conveyed their heartfelt condolences through messages and online platforms.

Hajia Mariama passed away after a brief illness at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

Her burial, conducted in line with Islamic traditions, took place in Tamale shortly after her passing.

The family has announced that the 4-Day Adua, a prayer gathering in her memory, is scheduled for Thursday, December 19, 2024.

Party members, well-wishers, and sympathizers are expected to attend the event to honor her life and legacy.
