The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the date for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) draw.
After a meeting of the CAF Executive Office in Marrakech on Monday, December 16, it was revealed that the draw will take place on January 27, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco.
The AFCON qualifiers concluded in November 2025, with 24 teams securing their spots in the tournament.
The competition will kick off on December 21, 2025, with the opening match, and will conclude with the final on January 18, 2026.
The 24 teams that qualified for the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON 2025 include:

- Senegal

- Ivory Coast
- Uganda

- Comoros
- Sudan
- Benin
- Tanzania
- Botswana
- Mozambique
In addition, CAF outlined the schedules for major youth tournaments. The U17 Africa Cup of Nations will be hosted by Morocco in 2025 and 2026, while the U20 edition will take place in Ivory Coast in 2025.
The schedules for other key CAF competitions were also confirmed, with finals for both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup scheduled for May and June 2025.
