The Office of President-elect John Dramani Mahama has denied reports circulating on social media suggesting that he has made Ministerial appointments ahead of his official assumption of office.
In a press statement issued on Monday, December 16, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Special Aide to Mr. Mahama, described the claims as baseless and urged the public to disregard them.
According to the office, the circulation of such false information has caused unnecessary confusion, making it essential to set the record straight.
“Mr. Mahama has not made any ministerial appointments. We urge everyone to disregard the fake news and refrain from spreading unverified information,” the statement emphasized.
Ms. Bawah Mogtari reiterated that any official announcements regarding appointments or related matters will be communicated exclusively through authorized channels.
She encouraged the public to rely solely on these official communications to avoid being misled.
The Office of the President-elect reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and professionalism during the transition period.
It also called on citizens to report any suspicious or false information concerning Mr. Mahama to the appropriate authorities, emphasizing the need to uphold accuracy in public discourse.
