2024/25 GHPL MD13 preview: Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak renew rivalry on Sunday as Chelsea host Aduana

The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League resumes this weekend after a one-week pause due to the recently concluded 2024 general elections.

Matches are scheduled to take place across various venues from Saturday, December 14, to Sunday, December 15.

At the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, Vision FC will face Medeama SC, while defending champions FC Samartex will meet Heart of Lions at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.

Accra Lions will take on Nations FC at the WAFA Park in Sogakope, and Legon Cities will welcome Bechem United to the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

In other matches, Karela United will square off against Bibiani GoldStars at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, and Nsoatreman FC will host Dreams FC at the Nana Kronmansah Park.

Berekum Chelsea will battle Aduana Stars at the Golden City Park, while Basake Holy Stars take on Young Apostles. All Saturday games are set to kick off at 15:00 GMT.

The weekend’s headline clash will occur on Sunday, December 15, when Asante Kotoko lock horns with arch-rivals Hearts of Oak.

Asante Kotoko head into the match with two consecutive wins, having previously endured a five-game winless streak. Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak are in fine form, unbeaten in their last six games.

Kick-off for the high-stakes encounter is also at 15:00 GMT.
