Asante Kotoko technical director, Malik Jabir, has expressed confidence in the team’s preparations for their highly anticipated Super Clash against archrivals Hearts of Oak.
The two powerhouse clubs in Ghanaian football will face off on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in a Matchday 13 encounter.
Despite enduring a challenging five-game winless streak, the Porcupine Warriors recently found their rhythm with a commanding 2-0 victory over Aduana FC.
Hearts of Oak, on the other hand, have recovered from a difficult start to the season, going unbeaten in their last six matches. This sets the stage for a thrilling clash between the two sides.
Speaking to Peace FM, Jabir highlighted the team’s readiness.
“Expectations will come from the way we train from Monday till now. If you look at the type of training they did here you will see that they are preparing well for the Hearts of Oak game,” Jabir said.
He added, “Asante Kotoko if you field even women it will be hard nothing shows the nature of the game when they both meet then you will see we are preparing ourselves.”
The match, eagerly awaited by fans across the country, is set to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
