Chinese President, Xi Jinping has extended his congratulations to Ghana’s President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, on Wednesday, December 11, following his victory in the December 7 elections.
President Xi highlighted Ghana’s historic role as one of the first sub-Saharan African nations to establish diplomatic relations with China, emphasizing the enduring China-Ghana partnership.
He expressed his commitment to deepening the relationship between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of mutual political trust and collaboration.
“I attach great importance to the development of China-Ghana relations and stand ready to work with President-elect John Mahama to build on our traditional friendship,” the President said.
He added that, enhanced cooperation would solidify the China-Ghana strategic partnership and deliver greater benefits to the peoples of both nations.
