Asante Kotoko: Prosper Narteh Ogum calls to rally ahead of Super Clash with Hearts of Oak

-

Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has called on the club’s supporters to throw their full support behind the team as they prepare for a highly-anticipated clash against their arch-rivals, Hearts of Oak.

The two giants of Ghana football are set to rekindle their storied rivalry on Sunday, December 15, in a Matchday 13 encounter of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Kotoko recently ended a five-game winless streak in the league with a crucial victory over Aduana FC, followed by a win in the MTN FA Cup against Future Stars FC.

With momentum starting to build, Ogum believes the fans’ unwavering support will be vital in their bid for success.

“The fans should just be behind us. They can make and unmake us,” he said in his preview ahead of the game. So the moment we realize that they believe in us then we can also stay focused and work harder. So they should rally behind us,” he added.

The stakes are high for both teams. Hearts of Oak currently sit one point above Kotoko on the league table and will aim to widen that gap in this crucial encounter.

The much-anticipated clash is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 PM GMT at the Baba Yara Stadium, promising to be a thrilling spectacle for football fans across the country.
