Former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Richard Attah is confident his former team will triumph in their highly anticipated Super Clash against Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
The two historic rivals will face off in the Matchday 13 fixture of the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Speaking in an interview with MOTV ahead of the encounter, Attah expressed his belief in the Phobians’ ability to secure a win.
“Hearts of Oak will beat Asante Kotoko; I foresee a 2-1 victory for Hearts of Oak on Sunday,” he said.
Attah, who was a key player during his time with Hearts, notably kept three consecutive clean sheets against Asante Kotoko between 2021 and 2022.
He has now urged the team’s current goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, to uphold that legacy in Sunday’s game.
“I want Benjamin Asare to continue my record of keeping clean sheets in all Premier League games against Asante Kotoko, starting this Sunday,” he added.
Hearts of Oak are currently sixth in the league table with 19 points from 12 matches, while their fierce rivals, Asante Kotoko, trail closely in seventh place with 18 points from the same number of games.
Kickoff is scheduled for 15:00 GMT, with fans eagerly awaiting another chapter in this iconic rivalry.
