The Commonwealth Alumni of the University of Ghana, popularly known as the Old Vandals, have congratulated John Mahama on his victory in the 2024 general election.
The Vandals have described the victory as momentous and resounding which makes their fellow worth celebrating.
“On the occasion of this momentous and resounding victory, we, on behalf of the Old Vandals fraternity, extend to H.E. Vandal John Dramani Mahama and the entire NDC family vandalistic, heartwarming, and inspiring felicitations,” the group said in a statement.
The group praised the triumph as evidence of divine timing, expressing confidence in Mr. Mahama’s ability to address the challenges ahead.
“The Almighty God is Great. He does things in His own ways and in His own time. We acknowledge the difficult tasks ahead. Nevertheless, we have utmost trust and confidence in your capabilities to turn things around in due course,” it added.
The Old Vandals further pledged their full support to the president-elect.
“We hold ourselves in readiness to support you to the brim. You can always count on us. Your success is ours, and ours is yours,” they assured.
Meanwhile, Ghanaians are still waiting on the Electoral Commission (EC) to officially declare the results of the general election.
