-

Joyce Bawah Mogtari, spokesperson for John Dramani Mahama, assumed to have won the 2024 presidential election, has announced that Mahama will deliver a national address following his official declaration by the Electoral Commission.

The announcement, made in a press statement on Sunday, December 8, confirmed that the address will take place at Mahama’s office.

According to Bawah Mogtari, the President-elect will use the address to outline his vision for the nation and detail the next steps his administration plans to take.

She stressed that Mahama aims to promote unity and encourage collective efforts toward national development.

The address will also provide an opportunity for Mahama to express his gratitude to Ghanaians for entrusting him with the mandate to lead the country once again.

“This will mark the beginning of a new chapter in Ghana’s democratic history, focused on reconciliation and progress,” Bawah Mogtari stated.

She added, “His Excellency John Dramani Mahama will address the country after his official declaration as winner of the 2024 presidential election by the Electoral Commission.”

The statement also revealed that earlier in the day, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP presidential candidate, placed a call to Mahama to concede the election.
