The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate in the Odododiodioo Constituency, Alfred Kotey Ashie, has secured victory in the 2024 election.
Mr Ashie garnered 38,473 votes to defeat his main contender, Abdul Mannaf Sowah of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who obtained 24,877 votes.
Elated NDC supporters have already thronged to the principal streets of the constituency to jubilate.
The landslide victory follows the successful collation of results from all 253 polling stations in the constituency, including the special voting exercise.
Mr Ashie also faced the challenge of sustaining the NDC’s dominance after the exit of long-serving MP, Nii Lante Vanderpuye.
