The Ghana Police Service has initiated a manhunt for individuals involved in an attack on a private collation center belonging to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Okaikwei North Constituency in Akweteyman, Accra.
The attackers caused significant damage to collation materials and injured one person during the assault.
Following investigations, which included assistance from a victim, the police identified two suspects—Ryan Gbagbathi and Huzaif—who are believed to be part of the group responsible for the attack.
The police assured the public that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspects, and they will face the full consequences of the law.
“We urge the public to remain calm as we continue our efforts to capture the suspects and ensure justice,” the statement read.
The police also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and security before, during, and after the elections.
