Ashanti South Police Commander declares zero tolerance for election chaos

-

The Ashanti South Regional Police Commander, DCOP George Ankomah, has issued a stern warning to electorates in the region against engaging in any form of misconduct on election day.

He emphasized that the police would not tolerate any attempts to disrupt the process or cause chaos.

DCOP Ankomah made this statement during the commissioning of the Dadwen/Kyekyewere Police Station in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region.

The event was also attended by Lawyer Andrew Amoako Asiamah, Member of Parliament for Fomena and Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament.

In an interaction with Adom News correspondent Isaac K. Normanyo, DCOP Ankomah advised voters to cast their ballots and leave the polling station, returning only during the counting of votes.

He stressed that security personnel had spent three months preparing for the elections and would take swift action against any wrongdoing.

Lawyer Asiamah, on his part, highlighted the importance of security in rapidly growing communities like Dadwen/Kyekyewere, with a population estimated at 10,000.

He explained that the new police station would enhance safety and provide much-needed protection for residents.
