2024 Election: NDC Central Region promises Mahama 56% of votes [Audio]

The Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu, has indicated that the region will play a significant role in the victory of the party’s flagbearer, John Mahama, in the 2024 election.

He stated that the region would deliver the widest margin, promising 56% of the total votes for Mr. Mahama on December 7.

Prof. Asiedu made these remarks on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, as political parties wrap up their campaign activities with just nine days remaining until the highly anticipated election.

In the 2020 election, the NDC secured 45% of the votes in the presidential race.

However, Prof. Asiedu has expressed that feedback from their campaign shows how galvanized their base is, and he is confident that this momentum will be replicated nationwide.

“We will definitely secure the 56% of the votes. The confidence is not because of how poorly the NPP has performed, but because we have put in place all the necessary ingredients, and we know they will bear fruit. Voter education has gone down well,” he stated.

He added that there is peace, happiness, and the NDC is now very attractive in the Central Region due to his leadership skills.
