The Fire Service arrived at the scene to extinguish the blaze.
Those who survived the fire were rushed to the Axim Government Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment for severe burns and smoke inhalation.

Meanwhile, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the area, Catherine Afeku, has initiated the process to airlift the injured victims to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for advanced care due to the nature of their injuries.
