The running mate for Akua Donkor has pledged to cast his vote for the late presidential candidate and her Ghana Freedom Party.
Despite the Electoral Commission’s announcement that votes cast for the late Akua Donkor will be classified as rejected ballots, her running mate, Roman Fada, said he is unperturbed.
He announced that he would still thumbprint in her slot as an act of respect and to honor her legacy.
Speaking about Akua Donkor’s impact in an interview, Roman Fada described her as a transformational figure who elevated his political career and significantly influenced his personal life.
In the political scene, he explained that she brought him to a higher pedestal, a step toward becoming the First Gentleman of Ghana.
Roman Fada also called on supporters of the Ghana Freedom Party to remain steadfast.
He reassured them that Akua Donkor’s passing does not signify the collapse of the party but a moment to rally together in her memory.
As Election Day approaches, he urged their supporters to vote for Akua Donkor, even if their ballots are deemed invalid, as a tribute to her dedication and vision for Ghana.
