IET-GH elects new leadership, set to assume office in December 2025

The Institution of Engineering and Technology-Ghana (IET-GH) celebrated a significant milestone at its 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) with the election of Engr. Wonder Davor Salami as its new President.

The leadership transition is expected to usher in a fresh wave of innovation and collaboration for the Institution.

As Salami prepares to assume office in December 2025, he will do so following a year of mentorship under the current President, Engr. Henry Kwadwo Boateng.

In a heartfelt address at the AGM, Engr. Boateng, the outgoing President of IET-GH, shared his insights on the future of Ghanaian engineering.

He emphasized the vital role engineers play in national development and called for greater collaboration among the government, the private sector, and local innovators.

His tenure has been marked by a strong commitment to advancing technology-driven solutions to address the pressing challenges facing the nation.

As part of the Institution’s leadership transition framework, Engr. Salami will spend the next year working closely with Engr. Boateng, gaining invaluable experience and guidance to prepare for his leadership role.

This mentorship period ensures a seamless handover, allowing the incoming president to uphold the legacy of excellence while introducing fresh ideas to IET-GH’s strategic vision.
