The owner and financier of King Faisal, Alhaji Grusah, has claimed to possess evidence of match-fixing in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
Match-fixing has long been a recurring issue in the Ghanaian top flight, but authorities have yet to take decisive action.
In an interview on Asempa FM’s Sports Nite, Grusah asserted that he holds solid proof of match-fixing within the league, stating he is prepared to reveal the corrupt practices.
“This season’s league is very bad,” Grusah lamented. “I have evidence of fixed games played in the Ghana Premier League, and some of the clubs involved have started begging.
“I have evidence of three or four fixed matches in the league,” he added.
Grusah went on to confirm that he has evidence of at least three or four manipulated games.
The outspoken football administrator called for an independent investigation into the allegations.
“I want an independent observer or body to give the final judgment,” he added.
Although Grusah refrained from naming the clubs or providing specific details of the alleged fixed matches, his comments are likely to spark fresh debates surrounding the integrity of the league.
