Black Stars need unity to win games – Foh-Amoaning

-

Legal practitioner Moses Foh-Amoaning has called for unity in the wake of the Black Stars’ disappointing performances.

The senior national team has faced harsh criticism following their abysmal run in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The four-time African champions failed to secure a single victory after six matches, finishing last in Group F.

After the Black Stars’ failure to qualify for the AFCON tournament, set to take place in Morocco next year, many have called for the dissolution of both the team and its technical staff.

However, in an interview with Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Foh-Amoaning emphasized the need for unity within the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and across the nation in order to bring the team success.

He noted that only with collective cohesion could the Black Stars hope to turn their fortunes around.

“What we should do is that we should bring the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the whole nation together, and that is the only way we can bring the Black Stars luck,” he said.

In the wake of the team’s poor performances, a meeting was convened on Wednesday to discuss the future of head coach Otto Addo.

A statement issued on Thursday, November 21, confirmed that a final decision would be made by Wednesday, November 27.

Looking ahead, the Black Stars will now turn their focus to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which will resume in March 2025. They are set to face Chad and Madagascar in their upcoming matches.
