The Krachi Nchumuru District has held its first-ever Best Teachers Awards to celebrate outstanding educators for their dedication and hard work.
Organized by the District Assembly in collaboration with the District Education Directorate, the event aimed to recognize the invaluable contributions of teachers in shaping the future of the district.
District Chief Executive (DCE), Kwesi Nkrumah Ogyile, remarked that the government is committed to education as a cornerstone of national development.
He mentioned initiatives such as the Free SHS program, the provision of laptops and tablets, and the implementation of professional development allowances, as he reiterated efforts to enhance teacher support and improve learning outcomes across the district.
The DCE also pledged the Assembly’s continued support in providing furniture and classroom infrastructure to improve academic performance.
He encouraged teachers and workers to accept postings to the district, assuring them of ongoing measures to make the area more attractive.
The overall best teacher, Moses Kidison, expressed gratitude for the recognition and called for more resources and teaching staff to address the challenges facing education in the district.
The awards ceremony is expected to motivate teachers to strive for excellence and ensure quality education in Krachi Nchumuru.
