Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has expressed readiness to vote in the December 7, 2024 election.
Mr. Kufuor has said nothing will stop him from exercising his franchise and will do so even if he has to be carried to the polling station.
The 85-year-old statesman revealed this in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, stating that the 2024 election was crucial.
“This election is very crucial. I will cast my vote as long as I’m in good health by God’s grace, even if I have to be carried to the polling station,” he told host Osei Bonsu, popularly known as OB.
When asked about his polling station, Mr. Kufuor mentioned that it was Ayawaso West Wuogon, where he also has a house.
With about 24 days left for eligible voters to elect the next president of Ghana from among 13 candidates, the various political parties have intensified their campaign activities nationwide to canvass votes.
