Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has assured that the Black Stars are determined to go all out in their final two games of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Ghana will be hosted by already-qualified Angola in the Matchday five games at the Estádio 11 de Novembro on Friday, November 15, before a final game against Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, November 18.
Despite several key players withdrawing from the squad for various reasons, Asante Twum says the players are ready and determined to give their best in the final games.
“The players are determined to put up a good performance,” he assured during an interview with Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show.
“The technical team held a meeting with the players to discuss the task ahead of them, and the players are ready to give their best in their final games.
“We know it wouldn’t be easy given the circumstances, but the players are ready to give their best,” he added.
After camp on Monday, the Black Stars will fly to Luanda later today for their game against Angola.
Currently, the Black Stars sit in third place in Group F, with only two points from their four matches, trailing both Palancas Negras and Sudan. However, they are aiming to qualify for the 2025 tournament in Morocco against all odds.
To qualify, the Black Stars must win both games and hope Sudan loses their matches against Niger and Angola.
