The Sweden Branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has donated four motorbikes and 1,500 branded t-shirts to support the party’s campaign activities in the build-up to the December 7 election.
Nana Shaki Frimpong, the Sweden Branch Council of Elder presented the items which was received by NPP Director of External Affairs, Kwame Amponsah-Kyeretwie.
Mr Amponsah stated there is a big task ahead and they will need logistics so the motorbikes and T-shirts has come at the right time and will boost their campaign.
They have also adopted two constituencies; Okaikwei North and Tema East to support them with logistics to strengthen the campaign.
The Branch Chairman, Richard Oti Aboagye, who played an integral part in the donation said President Nana Akufo-Addo has performed well and needs someone to continue his legacy.
He added that despite their records, the party will still have to work hard to ensure they break the eight.
According to him, for the party to win the election, every member has to be actively involved in the campaign.
Mr Aboagye added that former President Kufuor did so well during his tenure but the NPP lost the 2008 election and that has thought them a lesson so they will continue to help in their small way to boost their campaign.
He urged all supporters to go all out and sell the party’s ideas to Ghanaians to achieve break the eight agenda.
Mayor for Tema and NPP Parliamentary candidate for Tema East, Yohane Amarh Ashitey applauded them for the move and pledged to work hard to ensure victory come December 7.
