Arsenal ready to spend big to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham

-

Arsenal are reportedly targeting West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus, with Spanish sources claiming the Premier League club is ready to spend £83 million (100 million euros) to secure his services.

According to Fichajes, Kudus is eager to make the move to the Emirates, motivated by his desire to play in European competition.

The Ghana international was seen at Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League in October, although it’s unclear whether he attended at the club’s invitation.

Kudus, who scored in West Ham’s 3-1 Carabao Cup win over Arsenal in November 2023, is under contract with the Hammers until 2028, with an option for an extension. However, his desire to play in Europe could drive him toward a move to Arsenal.

Versatile in attack, Kudus has the ability to play both centrally and out wide, making him a valuable asset for Mikel Arteta’s squad as they look to compete on multiple fronts.

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to explore all avenues to complete the transfer next summer, even with a reported £85 million release clause in Kudus’ contract.

Kudus joined West Ham from Ajax for £38 million plus add-ons in 2023 and had an impressive first season, scoring 14 goals across all competitions.

This season, the 24-year-old has netted twice in eight appearances for the Hammers.
