The Director of Legal Affairs for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe, has called on the Electoral Commission (EC) to promptly restore Joana Gyan Cudjoe to the ballot for the 2024 parliamentary elections.
This appeal follows a ruling by the Sekondi High Court, which lifted the injunction that had previously barred Cudjoe, the NDC’s candidate for Amenfi Central, from contesting.
The court’s decision, delivered on November 11, 2024, came shortly after an adjournment on November 7.
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem, Mr. Tamakloe emphasized the urgency of the matter, noting that the EC must expedite the update of the notice of poll and ballot papers to include Cudjoe.
“We will serve them with the court order to ensure her timely restoration on the ballot,” he added.
