NPP doctored my campaign message – Asiedu Nketia on video of free SHS cancellation

-

Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of damaging his campaign with a doctored video.

In a widely circulated video clip, the NDC Chairman is allegedly heard saying that, if the party returns to power, they would cancel the Free SHS policy.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia, however, claims that the video has been altered to distort the party’s message.

The statement is said to have been made at the Ahafo Ano North Constituency in the Ashanti Region.

The original video, captured by media touring with the NDC, reportedly shows the Chairman actually praising the policy.

However, Mr. Asiedu Nketia clarified that the next NDC government would abolish the double-track system and improve the feeding program for beneficiaries.

In response to the doctored video at a rally in Agogo, the NDC Chairman alleged that the NPP is attempting to tarnish his campaign in the Ashanti Region.

The NDC Chairman insists that the party’s campaign team remains unshaken by these tactics from their opponents.

He asserts that the NDC’s prospects in the region continue to grow.
