Bibiani GoldStars: Frimpong Manso not interested in title talk

-

Bibiani GoldStars head coach, Stephen Frimpong Manso, believes it is premature to label his team as the favorites for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.

After nine games, GoldStars sit at the top of the league table with 19 points. Despite their strong start to the season, Manso insists his focus is on taking each game as it comes, rather than getting caught up in title talk at this early stage.

“It’s still early [days],” he told Joy Sports. “We’re only nine games into a 34-game season, so you can’t say everything is done.”

He added, “We’ll keep working hard, as we’ve done since day one. For me, I’m not thinking about the title but the next game.”

Manso’s excellent performance so far has earned him a nomination for the GPL October Coach of the Month award, reflecting his solid start with the club.

Looking ahead, GoldStars will face Young Apostles in their Matchday 10 fixture at the Wenchi Sports Stadium on Sunday, November 10.
