Bibiani GoldStars coach Stephen Frimpong Manso has praised the club’s fans for their role in the team’s unbeaten start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The Miners have collected 13 out of a possible 15 points at home from five matches held at DUN’s Park, establishing a strong home record. With a total of 19 points after nine games, they currently lead the league standings.
In an interview with Joy Sports, Frimpong Manso attributed the team’s stellar home performance to the passionate support of the fans.
“[The home record] is a very good thing; to be able to win at home, and for now, we will want to continue that streak,” he said. “We have the fans behind us, so I think we will do our best.”
GoldStars’ success this season can also be credited to their strong performance in both attacking and defensive aspects of the game. They have scored the second-highest number of goals (9) and conceded the second-fewest in the league, contributing to their excellent run.
“It tells us that in terms of attacking, we are doing well, and the same defensively too,” he continued. “For me, it will urge us to continue to improve on what we have been doing to achieve these results. I am happy about that.”
Bibiani GoldStars will aim to extend their unbeaten streak in their next game as they travel to face Young Apostles at the Wenchi Sports Stadium in the Matchday 10 fixture.
