The votes have been cast spiritually; I have already won – Jomoro MP [Audio]

-

Member of Parliament for Jomoro constituency in the Western Region, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has expressed strong belief in her re-election on December 7, 2024.

The first-time MP believes she is the best bet and is in a better position to retain the seat for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The lawmaker and her entourage were involved in a fatal accident at Komenda Junction on the Takoradi-Cape Coast-Accra Highway in August while returning to Accra after launching her campaign at Half Assini. She was referred to the U.S. for further medical treatment and returned on October 24.

Although her absence has raised concerns about her ability to win the seat, the MP has said the constituents have already made up their minds about her candidature and don’t necessarily need a campaign to win.

In an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, she declared she is just awaiting confirmation from her constituents.

“I was poised to win the election. By the grace of God, we have voted spiritually, and I have already won. My people have even told me not to come to Jomoro.”

“By this time, every MP is busily campaigning but because of the foundation I have laid, my executives go out there and they can amass people at a rally even in my absence,” she stated.
