Nigerian actress Ufuoma McDermott has bravely shared her journey with kidney disease, which she has battled for over twelve years.
The thespian revealed her cancer was diagnosed at stage 3, but in the last year, it has advanced to stage 4, which has critically taken a toll on her overall well-being.
In an interview on With Chude, Ufuoma explained that her kidney issues were initially caused by the overuse of painkillers.
She described facing a terrifying period of six months marked by complete immobility and severe weight loss, during which she was uncertain about her future.
The actress revealed that her deteriorating state compelled her to prioritize her health and relocate abroad with her family.
She candidly expressed that she is scared of the worst, as her brother died from the same ailment seven years ago.
However, she is hoping for divine healing to allow her to focus on managing her projects in Nigeria and caring for her family.
