Hearts of Oak assistant coach confident ahead of Medeama encounter

Hearts of Oak assistant coach Yaw Amankwah is optimistic about securing a positive outcome in their upcoming match against Medeama SC.

The Phobians will face off against the Yellow and Mauve side in the Matchday 9 fixture at TNA Park this Friday night.

Despite a disappointing start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, where Hearts of Oak currently sit 11th in the standings with just 9 points after eight matches, Amankwah acknowledges the challenge ahead.

He recognizes that Medeama will present a tough test but remains confident in his team’s ability to achieve a favorable result.

“Medeama is a very strong team, and looking at the league table, they are doing very well. They have good players,” he said in his pre-match conference.

“Playing at home, they will come strongly, but trust me, Hearts of Oak is a great team, and we can get good results here,” he added.

In their last five encounters, Hearts of Oak have won three times against Medeama, who have claimed victory twice. The last time Hearts of Oak triumphed over Medeama in Tarkwa was in January 2023.

The eagerly awaited match is set to kick off at 18:00 GMT.
