Traders at Norbekwaw in the Asunafo South Constituency of the Ahafo Region have expressed strong support for NPP Presidential Candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and parliamentary candidate Frank Adusi Poku in the upcoming elections.
Excitement filled Norbekwaw as traders prepared to welcome Dr. Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer, who begins his two-day campaign tour in the Ahafo Region today.
According to the traders, they have full confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership and believe he is the only candidate with policies that align with their needs.
They highlighted various infrastructural developments in the area, especially road improvements, and praised the Free SHS policy, which has eased their financial burden in educating their children.
“My daughter just completed JHS and will attend school for free. All I need to provide are her trunk and chopbox. We will vote for Bawumia; since the NPP came to power, our cocoa business has thrived, and it’s how I make my living,” one trader shared.
“I’ve benefited from the Planting for Food and Jobs initiative, and I want this government to continue. Bawumia will win this year’s election. They have fixed our roads for us,” another added.
The traders also voiced opposition to NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama and his parliamentary candidate Eric Opoku, stating they do not believe these candidates offer anything beneficial to their community.
