Ghanaian fans of Lil Durk hold ‘Freedom Protest’ in Kumasi; Meek Mill reacts

-

Ghanaian fans of American rapper Lil Durk have exhibited a surprising show of solidarity as they took to the streets of Kumasi in protest to demand the rapper’s release following his recent arrest.

Lil Durk could face a life sentence after being charged with allegations that he paid for the attempted murder of rival rapper Quando Rondo.

It’s claimed that associates of Durk and his collective OTF traveled to LA with the intent of murdering Rondo in retaliation for the killing of OTF rapper King Von.

However, his Ghanaian fans have chanted for justice and displayed slogans of support in a movement for his release.

  • Meek Mill, a fellow rapper and close friend of Lil Durk, responded to clips of the Kumasi protest, expressing admiration for the fans’ dedication.

In his remarks, he encouraged the crowd for standing up for Durk, commenting on how the rapper’s influence “is bigger than the streets,” acknowledging the impact Durk’s music and message have had on communities far beyond his own.

The protest in Kumasi stands as a testament to Lil Durk’s international fanbase and the bond his music has created with fans across the world.
