Member of Parliament for South Dayi Constituency, Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor, has extended a helping hand to 47 tertiary students in his constituency by providing them with a total of GHC 151,000 to aid in their educational pursuits.
The financial support, drawn from his common fund, forms part of his annual initiative aimed at assisting brilliant but needy students.
In an interview with Adom News correspondent Odehyeba Owusu Job, Mr. Dafeamekpor explained that this gesture demonstrates his commitment to empowering the youth in his constituency through education.
He emphasized that providing students with financial aid helps remove barriers to higher education, allowing them to focus on their academic goals without the weight of financial constraints.
Several beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Mr. Dafeamekpor, acknowledging that this support would play a crucial role in their academic journeys.
They assured him that the funds would be used responsibly to cover essential expenses and further their studies effectively.
