Bibiani GoldStars head coach, Frimpong Manso, expressed his delight after his team secured its first away win of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season by defeating Hearts of Oak.

GoldStars earned a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Phobians on Sunday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, a result that propelled them to the top of the league table and extended their unbeaten run.

The decisive goal came from Samuel Attah Kumi, while Hearts of Oak missed a chance to equalize after Emmanuel Kobi saved Hamza Issah’s penalty.

Reflecting on the match, Manso praised his players and shared his joy at breaking their away win drought.

“I am excited because this is our first away win,” he said after the game.

“We’ve been drawing in our last three away games and now the fourth one, we’ve got a win so I’m very satisfied, very happy with the result,” the former Ghana legend added.

With 18 points, Bibiani GoldStars currently sit at the top of the league standings. They are set to host Dreams FC in their next match at DUN’s Park on Matchday 9.
