Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara attributed their recent defeat to Bibiani GoldStars to individual mistakes on the field.
The Phobians suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to the Timber Giants in their Matchday 8 clash at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Despite creating several promising opportunities, Hearts of Oak were unable to find the back of the net, extending their struggles in front of goal.
In a post-match interview, Coach Ouattara highlighted that individual errors were the key factor behind the loss.
“The boys played with discipline, but we missed some chances that we should have converted. Even one goal, we couldn’t score. It was just individual errors,” he said.
The defeat leaves Hearts of Oak in 8th place on the Ghana Premier League table with nine points from eight matches.
In contrast, Bibiani GoldStars remain at the top of the standings, boasting 18 points from the same number of games.
Looking ahead, Hearts of Oak will face Medeama SC at the TNA Park on Friday, while Bibiani GoldStars are set to host struggling Dreams FC at DUN’s Park on Sunday in their Matchday 9 fixtures.
