The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced an upgrade to the metering system for customers using Clou Prepayment meters.
According to a statement, the upgrade will take place from Friday, October 25, through Sunday, November 24, and involves entering a 40-digit token to reset and update the meters.
The affected areas include Afienya, Nungua, Tema North, Tema South, Ablekuma, Bortianor, Korle-Bu, Nsawam, Ashaiman, Amasaman, Kaneshie, and Dansoman.
ECG indicated that Clou meter users may encounter challenges with the ECG Power App during this period.
As a precaution, customers are advised to visit the nearest ECG Prepayment Vendor, District Office, or contact the ECG Call Center.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this exercise may cause,” ECG added in its statement.
