2024 election: Asiedu Nketia temporarily suspends Bono regional tour

-

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has temporarily suspended his retail campaign tour in the Bono region.

This has been necessitated by a scheduled emergency meeting with the NDC parliamentary caucus in Accra in the wake of the brouhaha surrounding the declaration of four seats vacant.

Before the suspension, Mr Asiedu Nketia and his team were making strides in the Bono region with a seven-day community campaign tour.

The tour aimed to secure more votes for the NDC in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary polls.

The key stops included Dormaa West and Dormaa Central constituencies, he visited chiefs and residents in hard-to-reach areas, listening to their concerns and promoting NDC’s vision.

He proceeded to Wenchi Municipal and Banda district and so far over 15 communities benefited from his visit, with plans to reach six communities in each of the 12 districts in the Bono region.

This move demonstrates Asiedu Nketia’s commitment to strategic planning and collaboration within the party.

He has expressed optimism about the NDC’s prospects in the Bono Region, predicting more parliamentary seats in the 2024 elections.

The campaign tour will resume upon the conclusion of the meeting, focusing on NDC’s key manifesto promises and local concerns.
