The five Mpraeso Senior High School (SHS) students who were arrested for gang-raping a 16-year-old female student have been discharged.
They were discharged Thursday by the Nkawkaw District Court in the Eastern region, presided over by His Worship Isaac Agyei.
This was after the court realised that the charge sheet prepared by the Police didn’t match the case.
However, Adom News journalist, Akwasi Dwamena reported that, they were re-arrested by the Police.
They are expected to be re-arraigned before the court in due time.
Three other students who were part of the act are also currently on the run, with a manhunt launched for them.
The unfortunate incident occurred on campus on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
