Hearts of Oak coach, Aboubakar Ouattara has lauded his players after the 2-1 win against Young Apostles in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The Phobians recorded a 2-1 win against the Ghana Premier League debutants at the Wenchi Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Phobians took the lead in the 50th minute, thanks to Emmanuel Amankwah, who scored following a period of sustained pressure.

Young Apostles fought back and equalised late in the match, with Samuel Prempeh finding the net in the 84th minute.

However, highly-rated attacker Hamza Issah restored their lead with a well-timed finish, sealing the 2-1 win for Hearts of Oak.

Speaking after the game, the Ivorian praised his players for the hard-earned points and also pledged to continue to work hard for the subsequent games.

“Today’s match is a very tough match. I know it can be difficult for us. Young Apostles have a very good side,” he said after the game.

“We tried to maintain them and we got the 3 points. I think it’s our second win. We can’t jubilate too much. We will continue to work hard and see what will happen for us this season. It’s not easy but we are going to do our best,” he added.

Hearts of Oak now sit 8th on the league log with 8 points and will clash with Dreams FC in the Matchday seven games.
