Ghana will face West African rivals Nigeria in the second round of the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 qualifiers this December.
The draw, held at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, on October 9, 2024, saw the Black Galaxies matched up against their Nigerian counterparts.
The first leg of the encounter will take place in Ghana from December 20 to 22, 2024, while the return leg is scheduled for December 27 to 29, 2024, in Nigeria.
In the previous edition of the CHAN tournament in Algeria, Ghana eliminated Nigeria in a tense qualification match that ended in a 2-2 aggregate score, with Ghana prevailing through penalty shootouts.
The winner of this two-legged showdown will earn a spot in the CHAN 2024, which will be hosted in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania next year.
The rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria promises to make for an exciting contest.
