The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has endorsed the Muslim Youth in Agriculture project, an initiative aimed at empowering young Muslims through sustainable agriculture.
The Chief Imam, who also serves as the Grand Mufti of Ghana, gave his blessings during a courtesy visit by the Managing Director of Sky Dolphin Ltd, Wisdom Mensah Dali, at his residence in Fadama, Accra, on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
During the visit, Mr. Dali also presented cola nuts to support the Chief Imam’s upcoming celebration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary.
The Muslim Youth in Agriculture project, a collaboration between the Muslim community and Sky Dolphin Ltd, aims to leverage the company’s extensive experience in Ghana’s aquaponics industry to create job opportunities for unemployed Muslim youth and vulnerable women in rural areas.
Several prominent Muslim leaders are backing the initiative, including Sheikh Mustapha Ibrahim, Imam Mohammed Awal Alhassan, Sheikh Yusuf Farouk Alhassan Umar Yussifiya, and Alhaji Khuzaima Mohammed Osman, as it promises to transform livelihoods within the Muslim community.
